My Top 5 Pet Peeves

  1. People who like to be all in my business: I love to share certain news or other things that that go on in my life, but what I share is what I do not mind people knowing. Some people will just go asking a million questions about my life that I do not feel comfortable sharing and that tends to turn me off.
  2. Negative people: I do not like surrounding myself with negative people. That brings my spirit down, and most people who know me know that I try to be as positive as I can be.
  3. Dishes in the sink: Growing up, this has always bothered me. I like the sink empty and wiped down. I’m that person who washes the dishes as I cook.
  4. People who chew with their mouth open: The sound makes my skin crawl.
  5. People who do not clean up after themselves: In my opinion, it is so simple to clean up after yourself. It is so much easier to just clean up, rather than having a mess build up such as hoarding or having trash hanging around for so long.

So, those are some of my pet peeves! There will most likely be a part 2 coming soon. I’m not one who likes to complain. These are just things that truly get under my skin.

Distance

Ever been in a position where you stop and drop everything for certain people, but you knew for a fact they wouldn’t do the same? You knew because they’ve showed you several times that they wouldn’t. It’s the same routine. The routine of being there for them at any time, yet one simple text message to see how you’re doing seems to be so difficult. I’ve learned to stop being the one to reach out all the time. I’ve been working on my craft and just sort of distancing myself. I’ve been seeing the ones who have been truly supporting me and I’m so grateful for that. I love the feeling of genuine love and support, I am so big on that. There will be people who only “support” or “show love” when you have to ask. That’s considered fake love and it’s honestly something I’m not a huge fan of. Sometimes I feel that I may be too dramatic about how I feel, but we have certain feelings for a reason. I don’t want to have to feel that I have to apologize for my feelings. Some people will come and go in your life, and that’s completely fine. We all deserve people who show genuine love. So go ahead, distance yourself for a little if you need to, it’s not something you should ever feel bad about!

As the semester is ending..

As this semester is ending, it’s a weird and an exciting feeling at the same time. So after this semester ends I start summer classes like two weeks later, I then start my fall classes in August of course, and graduate with my AA in December. I have different emotions about all of this. I know what I’m doing next, but time is flying so fast that when everything gets so close I sort of get anxious. I’m always on top of things, but I still get overwhelmed. Sometimes I believe that I just overthink and create so much stress to where I begin to freak out. It’s hard being that I am Christian and act like this because I can simply say to leave it in God’s hands, which I do, but at times I STILL overthink because I want to be successful so badly. It’s great that I want to be successful, but I have to stop being so hard on myself and be patient. If I continue to keep my Faith in God, believe in myself, and remain confident, I know I will do just fine. I know I love to give advice, but at times it’s so helpful when people give some to me as well. So with that being said, if anyone is willing to send me any tips to stop my mind from racing so much, I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you in advance guys.

Where would I like to Visit? (when corona calms down)

I’ve mentioned before that I really want to travel. I want to travel with friends and when I have my little family. I’ve been to many different states but when COVID-19 relaxes, I would like to save up for some trips out of the U.S. I want to visit Jamaica because my Grandfather was from there. He recently passed in February and we have not been able to meet our family in Jamaica. My grandfather was a great man and I’m so blessed that I was able to know him. He wanted to make a trip back to Jamaica before he passed, but was not able to. The goal is to go over there with my father, sisters, and other family to find our family there. That will be such a bittersweet trip. Okay, the next place I’d love to go to is Canada for sure. I’ve heard so many amazing things about Canada! Two states that I have not been to yet that I’ve been dying to go to are California and Hawaii. There are so many pictures I can take there. There are honestly so many pictures I can take wherever I go visit. I also would like to go to Spain and Paris. There are other beautiful places I want to take a trip to, but the list will be way too long. God willing, I will be able to go on these trips soon with the people that mean so much to me. What are places that you guys want to visit, or have visited?

Motivation Monday

I love this because people will doubt you whether it be out loud or in silence. They will say negative words, but no matter what is said, always keep going. You can make it through. Love you blog fam, don’t give up.

Quote:

So I haven’t been myself at all today. Just been a little down and tired, so I decided to just share a quote rather than writing something long. Still very appreciative that God woke me up another day today though. Posting a little bit before 9 tonight because I just need to relax. Hope you all are doing well!

Update: Vegetarian Journey

Hey guys, so if not all, most of you know that I became a vegetarian in September. Well I’m still one. This is my 8th month! I’m so proud of myself. If you haven’t read my vegetarian journey post, you can scroll down and look for my older posts and take a look at it. I’m still doing well with my diet and still maintaining my weight. The only difference is that I’ve been trying to work out more rather than once or twice a week. I bought a core workout plan that has been amazing so far. I also just find workout videos on YouTube. Oh I also weigh 126 now, not 124.80 anymore. It’s not a big deal to me. As long as I stay in the 20s and continue to eat healthy. I still feel great and never bloated. I know many probably thought this journey would’ve been difficult for me. Of course in the beginning it wasn’t easy, but it became a breeze. Also just want to take the time to thank everyone who has believed in me with this journey. Truly means so much to me. Just know you can really do anything you put your mind to. If you want it, go get it!

Am I Making a YouTube Channel still?

I’ve mentioned to you guys probably once on here about making a YouTube channel. My friends have heard me say it several times as well. So, when will I actually be making it? Truth is, I still have no idea. I have a channel already technically, but I just need to find the motivation to really get into changing my name and of course begin making my videos. My sisters and I should have been created our sister channel, but I’m not sure if we’re doing that anymore. My older sister is also still in the process of starting up her channel. I guess what I am trying to say is, I don’t want to keep saying I’m going to do it, or set a day on when I will post my first video. I will just post and when I do, you guys will know. It is always on my mind still though that’s for sure. I have so much going on as well, that it’s not something I care much about at this very moment. Have any of you thought of making a channel or have a channel? If you have a channel, you can go ahead and comment your name and I would love to subscribe! I love supporting people because I feel like everyone needs some support in life. If you guys know any people who have a channel, support them and even give some tips. I’m sure they would appreciate that.

Top 5 Words to Describe myself:

  1. Nurturing: I am always looking out for people or taking care of people.
  2. Selfless: Don’t think I could ever be selfish, it’s just not in my blood.
  3. Forgiving: I am a very forgiving person. It can take me awhile to forgive depending on what the person did, but forgiving is a MUST for me. God forgives so I always tell myself that it’s key. “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. -Ephesians 4:32 | NIV
  4. Beautiful: I truly love myself and have a lot of confidence. I used to be so insecure a few years ago, but I am so glad I snapped out of that. I’ve learned that I am beautiful inside and out.
  5. Honest: Honesty is so important to me. I get very upset when people lie to my face! It’s literally one of my biggest pet peeves. (Will do a list of my pet peeves soon). I also say “Why lie?” a lot because I never understood why people think it’s okay to lie. Just stop beating around the bush and tell it what it is, it’s that simple.

I could honestly write a longer list, but we’d probably be here all night y’all. I really am proud of the woman I have become though. I amaze myself everyday on how far I’ve come. I am not the person I was last year or years before, so much has changed. I have become a better version of myself truthfully. I am thankful for who I am and you all should be thankful for yourselves as well. Give yourself some recognition!

Quote: A kind gesture..

Don’t forget to reach out to at least one person a week or as many times as you want to see how they are doing! That’s a great example of a kind gesture everyone. A compliment is also a great example as well. I always love to give and be kind, we truly never know what people are going through. Always remember that! Sending my positive energy and blessings to you all.
