This may help

I thought I’d share something that could be a huge help to people who aren’t feeling like themselves. It’s for people suffering from depression or any other mental health issues, but could also help people who have just been having a few down days here and there like myself. It’s called The Depression Project. Their website is; https://www.thedepressionproject.com/supportive-encouraging-daily-quotes . They email you encouraging words everyday and it has honestly helped me a lot, along with meditation and my quiet times with God. I will leave a photo of their Instagram and the encouraging quote they sent me today. Though it seems so little, I really hope this helps, because I know some people struggle even getting out of bed sometimes. I know the struggle of feeling alone, feeling weak, feeling helpless, etc. Sometimes I still have those days, but it’s nowhere near to how I used to feel. Here is their insta and my encouraging quote:

Not much

I titled this not much, because I don’t have much to write tonight. I have been working hard all day today and I am proud of myself, but very exhausted. I have a lot of ideas that I continue to pray on to see if this next chapter is best for me. I am learning more about myself and beginning to step out of my comfort zone with the ideas I have come up with. Just know that if you have something on your mind, do not ignore it. If you have something that you enjoy doing, don’t stop! Keep working hard guys, because it will all be worth it. I have no idea where blogging will take me, but what I do know is that it’s something I love. On the 17th it was a whole year since my first post ever! That only makes me want to keep going. I get so tired; trying to balance everything in my life, but I can’t complain. Sometimes you just have to give yourself a pat on the back for pushing through. I am closing here, because it’s about that time to just chill and finally get my meditation session in. Always sending blessings and positive energy!

She is

She is suffocating

No one is physically on top of her,

yet she feels like she cannot breathe.

She is suffocating

Tired of the burdens that cannot seem to leave.

She is suffocating

Feeling like the God she thought she knew doesn’t hear her,

because why are there only a few answers?

She is suffocating

Not enough faith to remove such pain off her plate,

so she runs to a bottle thinking it will all erase.

She is suffocating

Out with a smile,

but it begins to fade after awhile.

She is suffocating

Maybe it is the lack of confidence,

but then again;

her feelings are so anonymous.

She is suffocating

Hitting rock bottom, but who does she call on?

He was there all along;

who is he?

The one who sends the spirit to bow down on our knees.

One day she became saved,

and everything changed.

She is free.

She is me.

Flying by

I don’t know about you guys, but I feel like time has been flying. Sometimes I just cannot keep up, especially when I try to accomplish so much everyday. I honestly had such a productive week and weekend, this week is already pretty productive as well so far. Last night at bible study we spoke about our quiet time with God, and how important it is. We can be up and moving 24/7 and sometimes forget to give him attention. It’s up to us to make the time for him everyday, no matter how busy we are. I have struggled several times with this. Like I said, time is flying and I am sure many of us just do not know how to be still. We get so used to our daily routines that it gets difficult to find time for God or even ourselves (y’all better be taking care of yourselves). Anyway, I have been planning A LOT and my mind is beginning to do the whole wandering thing that it likes to do. What’s great is that I am for sure learning how to just relax and stay on top of my meditation though. I have a lot to work on still, but nonetheless I am so grateful for life, no matter the obstacles. Learning more about myself and God everyday has been a huge blessing even through these crazy times. I am excited to see where he is taking me!

My day

Hey guys! Just wanted to share how my day went before I finally get some rest. I had another very productive day today, it started with my prayers and meditation of course, then I got to babysit my little cousin and do some things around the house. A few hours later I was able to go see a friend that I’ve been close to since middle school. It was nice to catch up again. Her son is getting so big and I’m very grateful I was able to go see them. I don’t really have a lot of free days, so when I’m able to go see people I haven’t seen in awhile, it means a lot to me. Well, I do have to wake up early again tomorrow, it’s going to be a long day. I hope you all had a productive day and I am hoping that your weekend goes great. Can’t wait to tell you all about my weekend next week!

Quick Inspo

I saw this quote and thought I’d share tonight to give some motivation for you all to wake up tomorrow and be productive. I know I haven’t been on schedule with posting on here, but just know I have been working. I have so much to share with you all soon. I am working on something that will be worth sharing when I officially get it together. It is something that I have not spoke about with ANYONE but God. It’s an idea that I pray will come to life. Even on the days where I’m not feeling like myself, I am still pushing through. I have no choice but to keep going because I have people actually rooting for me. I have been quiet lately because I am in my zone. I have so much to do, but just know I will still give my time to you all. So, read this quote several times and try to be productive every day. Get up, even when you feel like you can’t because YOU have a purpose in this life. Always sending love and positive energy to you blog fam!

It’s Okay

To be honest, I’ve been sad all day. I had that dark cloud over me from the moment I woke up today. I still feel it over my head as I’m sitting in my bed writing this. It’s like one of those days where you just feel like you’re existing rather than living. Sorry to sound so depressing, but I’ve told you guys that I will always be transparent. I don’t wake up everyday with the smile on my face that people often see, but that doesn’t mean I don’t thank God for another 24. It’s just some days I’m seriously not okay. We have to understand that it’s okay to be sad, it happens. We also have to make sure we keep track on our not so good days. How often does it happen? What thoughts are going on in your head? If you find yourself constantly being down, that’s when you really should try to ask for some professional help if friends, family, etc. may not be able to help. Thankfully, I have people I can reach out to when I feel this way, but sometimes I just rather sit and go through it on my own and pray to God. I wasn’t going to post again tonight, but I felt like someone needed to read this. This is me speaking out. You are NOT alone. I’m here, God is here, people DO love you. Don’t worry about me guys, I will forever be good. I just needed to share this. If anyone needs a friend, don’t hesitate to reach out to me for my number. You can email me for it, or write me on my socials. Be honest with yourself if you are truly not okay, it is OKAY.

Changes

Do you ever feel like you need a change in your life, but you just don’t have an idea on what it is that has to change? I have been struggling for a few weeks on what that change needs to be. It could simply just be changing your wardrobe, changing who you hang around, changing your attitude, etc. In my case, I just have no clue. Being that I am Christian, of course this is something that I have been praying about. This is also something that I am doing my best to leave in his hands. I just keep finding myself thinking about what this “change” has to be. I have many goals planned out, so maybe he could be trying to tell me to change one or more of my goals. As I said before, being Christian is not easy. Sometimes I have constant battles with God, because I can be so hard-headed. Just to let you guys know, when you argue with God, you WILL lose. It’s like when he sends you SEVERAL signs, and you continue to just ignore them. He will do something to make your behind finally listen (yes, I am talking about myself and you other hard-headed people). I know for sure that this change that he wants me to do is not the clothes or shoes I wear, this is definitely so much deeper. That’s the great thing about God though, he always gives an answer no matter how long it may take! You could get your answer tomorrow, in a few weeks, months, maybe even years. Just never think that he is not listening, because he always is. If you are currently struggling like I am with what you need to change in your life, or anything else, he will provide. It’s okay to wonder, but do not let those thoughts take over your mind!

Meditation: My Mental Health

There was a time where I would try to meditate, but my mind still wandered. Just with anything, you have to take the time to practice in order to get better. With meditation, I had to be consistent to be able to think clearly and focus on my breathing. I meditate often now and I have seen a change with my mental health. I can think more clearly, I feel more calm, I feel refreshed, etc. I decided to write on a note card and hang it in my room to remind myself to meditate after I do my prayers and stretches. If I forget, or do not have time to meditate in the morning, I try to find the time to do it before I go to sleep. My goal is to meditate in the morning and the evening. I have to be consistent with doing it at least once a day first and then work my way up. I definitely do realize a difference when I miss meditation. It’s sort of how I feel if I don’t get my daily words in from the Bible or from watching sermons. It’s like a missing puzzle piece, and I feel somewhat low in a sense. Prayers and meditation keep me going and it’s all because of God. Time with God is so important to me, because He always helps me see clearly! I didn’t know what I wanted to write about tonight, but this popped into my head. I’m so glad I thought of this. If you’ve thought of trying meditation, you really should go for it. As most know, I’m big on mental health, and this is one of the activities that could help you relax for for sure!

Appreciate Your Life and Your Loved Ones

I sort of feel like the world just stopped this past weekend. I say this because I somewhat felt helpless, and a little numb. I had a few uplifting moments and then found myself just thinking about life. Someone I am very close to lost their father this past Friday, and it really hit me hard being that I know what she and her family have been through. I also knew her father and he really was an amazing man. When unexpected tragedies occur, it’s so difficult to find the words to say. This weekend just taught me another lesson on how we should appreciate our lives and loved ones. We wake up and go on with our day not even thinking how special it is to even just wake up. For me, I tend to just give quick hugs or a quick “love you” with some people. I have to work on giving longer hugs and telling more people how much I truly appreciate them. I thought I should share this because honestly today I have been so down, my mind can’t focus. Please don’t forget to love hard guys. It’s so important.
