I graduated with my AA on December 17th! I had such an amazing day that day. I felt so happy and still do. On to the next chapter guys, I feel very motivated to start this next chapter. I have been spending time with family while we are on winter break, and this is much needed. Though many of my followers have seen these pics from my graduation and dinner, I still wanted to share on here. I will be posting on my Birthday/Christmas. Can’t believe I’m going to be twenty-two! Anyway, I hope you enjoy these photos. I am so thankful for all of the GENUINE love and support I have received from my loved ones and others!
Hey guys! I hope everyone had a safe and blessed Thanksgiving. I enjoyed my time with my family. I am very thankful. December is already approaching and there is so much going on. It is my love’s birthday next week, along with my orientation for UCF so I can transfer and begin working on my bachelor’s in social work starting in January. Graduation is December 17th, so I’m ready! Then of course we have Christmas which is also my birthday the same day, and New Years Eve. I have been prepared for the new year as well. It is going to be a busy month, but so exciting. I’m going to leave you with a few photos I took yesterday. Stay blessed everyone.
Despite all the craziness that has happened this year (not just Covid, but family losses, feeling down, losing friendships, and so much more) I am grateful to be alive and doing pretty well still. I literally cannot complain because I serve such an amazing God, and I know that everything happens for a reason. Just yesterday my family and I lost the dog that we had when I was a child. We knew he was at the end, but it was still shocking. Probably may not seem a lot to many, but having a pet for so long and them being gone certainly gives such an uneasy feeling. He was the pet that everyone loved at all the family functions. Though I have lost so much this year and my heart may feel weak at times, I feel at peace. It is a feeling that I truly cannot even describe. I also have gained so much too in such a short amount of time. I got a new job at a company where I am able to work from home, so now I can really invest more into the project that I have been working on! I graduate next month already and start working on my bachelor’s degree in January, my significant other and I have some big plans that we pray fall through soon, my relationship with God is still remaining strong, and many more blessings. Just waking up everyday has been a huge blessing that I thank God for. I am thriving immensely and growing so much in this little town that I live in. No one can dim my light, and I say this so humbly. I am ready to keep writing more about what has been going on with me. I have been tweeting, writing for assignments, but today I told myself that I would like to write for my blog too, so here I am! I have no idea what just gave me the motivation, could be the bright sun shining through my window, or just the thoughts running through my mind, but I am so glad I decided to get on this laptop and write freely again.
Hey guys! I have a lot more planning to do for this page, I have been trying to write a list of what more I should share with you. As I am planning, I would love to read any suggestions that you may have; such as the content you would like to see, would you like me to post videos of myself? I have thought of doing motivational videos because I know some of us need some motivation here and there. Feel free to share whatever ideas you would like! Lately I have been so focused on getting assignments done, working on a project, learning about stocks, getting ready for graduation, and job hunting. One of the goals is multiple sources of income, so I am working hard to get there. That will be another topic I have coming for you all soon. Just know that I am planning and I appreciate everyone still showing support, even when I seem to not post as often as before. I am currently working on some assignments and will continue to plan. Stay tuned for some topics that I come up with, and don’t be afraid to give me some suggestions!
As most know, I started my vegetarian journey last year in September. Can’t believe its been a year of me not eating meat. I tried to stay away from the dairy and eggs, but it was hard for me. Eventually (about 4 months ago) I officially cut out the dairy and eggs and cut down on my sugar intake, which I didn’t eat sugar often anyway. I am now on my vegan journey and I learned about seamoss from my mother-in-law. After she told me about sea moss, I began researching the benefits online and watched YouTube videos. I also found Instagram pages of black owned businesses that sell it.
So what is it? Sea moss is literally what the word is, moss from the sea. It is mostly known as “Irish sea moss”. It is an algae that is found on the shores of the North Atlantic surrounding Ireland, Europe and North America. If you know a little about Dr. Sebi (God rest his soul) he talked about it A LOT and its benefits. Also left eye from TLC (God rest her soul as well) spoke about it in one of her interviews. It has 92 minerals of the 102 minerals that our body consists of such as zinc, iodine, iron, calcium, potassium, etc. I will post a photo of the benefits and then explain how I have felt since I have been consuming it.
Benefits:
I first started using capsules from an alkaline herb website, and I felt amazing just from about two weeks using the capsules. When I finished the capsules, I decided to try sea moss gel. I ordered raw sea moss, so I had to clean it, have it sit in spring water, etc. It takes time to turn it into gel when you order it raw. Thankfully, it can be sold as gel already! I actually just got my package today and it was already set to refrigerate. I will post some images that I took of where I ordered my sea moss. So far I have ordered from three different sites and they all have made me feel great. I have so much energy, my weight has definitely been maintained, my immune system is very strong, my skin has finally been healing better, and I just feel like a new person. I highly recommend this especially if you have joint pain or have low iron, or just want to improve your overall health! You do NOT have to be vegan to try sea moss, but I do believe that it makes sense to have a healthy diet while consuming it. Also consistency is key, you will not feel a drastic change in just a few days. If you’re consistent at least two weeks, you will for sure see a difference. You can put the gel in smoothies, tea, homemade jam, and even consume it alone (I do not recommend consuming it alone, because it literally tastes like the sea guys).
Here are some photos I have taken: The 1st photo is when I started consuming sea moss. I took the sea moss and bladderwrack capsules. The 2nd and 3rd photo is when I ordered the sea moss raw for the first time and made the gel. The 4th photo is the sea moss gel that came already made and I made tea with it by boiling it with spring water and adding cinnamon and turmeric. May not sound good, but I promise your body will thank you! Don’t knock it until you try. If anyone has any questions, feel free to comment. I would love to answer any of your questions. I will be writing more about my vegan journey as well. Don’t forget to take care of yourselves guys, it’s so important!
I am so excited to share something with you guys soon!!! I have some more work I need to do before I share, but it is really coming together. I feel more motivated than ever. Everyday I can see that God has something huge coming for me even when I may feel discouraged at times. He is always so faithful which is why I have to continue to remain humble and grateful. I would not be where I am right now if it wasn’t for him and the people in my corner. Just know that I’m working hard and just because I’m not as consistent with posting a lot on my blog like before, it does not mean I’m giving up on blogging. I still love sharing my lifestyle, I just have entered a new season and I’m adapting to it. Stay tuned for my news soon! Great things take time…
This is my current situation! Getting some assignments done. I started a whole new class yesterday and killed the first quiz today already which is due on Sunday. I feel relieved I got it done. The quiz was quite difficult, but I read most of the material yesterday and finished today. I am actually excited about these classes I’m taking this semester, I feel so motivated. It is only Tuesday and I have gotten a lot done. I hope this motivates you guys to keep going. Probably going to post something else later tonight, so stay tuned!
Before I head to bed, I just wanted to share today’s verse! I needed to read it because every now and then I need this reminder. I have struggled and still struggle with being still. Today was an example of me not being so still. Though it would’ve been good for me to read the verse this morning, I’m glad I was able to read it now. Tomorrow will be a new day and I will remind myself to be still. I will still be productive, but do my best not to overthink. He WILL fight for us, he is in control.
I wrote a post about changes about a month ago. I wrote about how I had no idea what the change is supposed to be in my life, but I finally got an answer from God. It’s not something that I want to share, but what I do want to share is that I feel God moving so much in my life. This walk with God has been very difficult for me at times truthfully. Sometimes I just do not want to do anything at all. Sometimes I just feel as if I don’t have the energy or strength to keep going in life. I have been focused on getting my life together, but at the same time I have been having days where I just want to take a break in life. Like imagine being able to put your life on pause and when you snap back to reality you can finally be where you’re supposed to be. That’d be something huh?
Guess what? Life doesn’t work like that at all, it’s quite obvious that it doesn’t. You have to work for what you want and if what you want isn’t exactly what God wants for you, he will do a shift in your life. He will move you into a whole different direction that you never even expected. As you’re going through the shift you may feel as if you’re losing yourself, but you have to keep going no matter what. You have to keep pushing yourself to get to where you’re truly supposed to be. Goals are so important to me, I think about my future a lot. I also think about the amazing God in my life, so I know that if something isn’t meant for me I have to learn to accept it. Yeah it’s sad when plans don’t go the way you want them to, but that just means that something better is coming.
This change in my life is going to take me somewhere. Though I have no idea where yet, I know to continue to keep the faith. Don’t think I have my life figured out, because I definitely don’t. I cried like three times last week about the SAME thing. Hmm or maybe four times (can’t even keep up). That just goes to show that I’m not better than anyone, and no one is better than me either. We are all imperfect, we all have some issue(s) that we are dealing with it. Remember that changes can be difficult and maybe even painful, but it’s always better than being stuck where you aren’t supposed to be!
I have decided to no longer have a specific schedule. The 9pm schedule Monday-Thursday has just been unrealistic. As you guys have noticed, I have been posting at whatever time. I also have realized that this is my lifestyle blog, so posting at any time that I can is what has been working for me because of my schedule. I tend to think a lot late at night, so posting late is one of my favorite times to post. I also may have random thoughts at 9am, 12pm, etc. I think it is very beneficial that I can blog from my phone as well, because if I am out and feel like writing, I can do just that and post it right away. So, no more set schedule guys! I have a lot more content coming, so stay tuned.
